Overview

Galaxy Mini Version 2 offers significant enhancements, including double the processing power, memory, and storage capacity. It features built-in support for 8 analog station ports and supports up to 96 extensions.

The base package for the Galaxy Mini Version 2 is loaded with UCX7.0 software and includes 32 extensions, with optional expansions to 64 and 96 extensions, providing greater flexibility to meet your business needs.

Features

Running the same UCX software as other E-MetroTel server platforms such as the Galaxy Pro and Galaxy Expand, it delivers an optimized set of UCX capabilities to the small and very small business market, including feature functionality normally associated with enterprise businesses such as:

• Auto-Attendant (IVR) answers incoming lines with your personalized greeting tailored for the time of day, day of week, holiday schedule and calling line ID. Custom Call Routing routes incoming calls via a routing tree that determines how calls are directed (“For customer service, press 1…”). Can include multiple levels. Caller can self-direct to exactly the right destination.
• Integrated Voicemail stores, forwards and delivers voice messages to the user, to groups, or for broadcast to all users. Users can record their own personalized greetings and have access to their messages from anywhere. And mailbox space is virtually unlimited.
• Voice Mail to Email delivers voice mail via email messages to your computer and mobile device so you can manage all your communications in one location.
• Fax Detection / Virtual Fax – there is no need to have a traditional fax machine as faxes can be both sent and received electronically using this feature. You can also configure your inbound route to auto-detect a fax connection.
• Meet-Me Conferencing Easy-to-use functionality allows parties to establish a teleconference by calling in to a specified telephone number and extension. Meet-Meet Conferencing includes a full set of user controls that enable the meeting chair to start, stop, and control the conference. This makes it ideal for larger conferences, especially those involving outside suppliers or customers.
• Shared Call Appearances (SCA) allow calls to ring on multiple sets, be placed on hold, and be picked up at any other set with that same Shared Call Appearance 
• Dozens of other telephony features:
  • Transfer, Call Hold, Call Forward, Cellphone Twinning, Last Number Redial, Paging (see note below), Call Pickup, Autodial – External & Internal, Do Not Disturb, Hotdesking, and many more.

Applications

The UCX software on other hardware platforms supports a number of applications that are that are separately licensed and are primarily designed and suitable for large enterprise customers. One exception to this is the use of Microsoft TAPI, which enables Microsoft Windows PCs to be able to communicate with the UCX software and initiate outbound calls and hang up calls using Microsoft Outlooks, Microsoft Dialer, or any other TAPI compatible applications. It also supports receiving inbound calls with basic caller information on incoming calls so that some TAPI aware applications can use this information to do screen-popup, displaying caller information on the screen. Since this functionality is widely used in small businesses such as law offices and medical clinics, this licensed functionality is available on the Galaxy Mini platform.
