DSM16 – System – Users

To change the management password of the DSM16, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the DSM16 Administration
  2. From the System tab, select Users
  3. Select the admin account by clicking on the admin link.  The Edit User “admin” page is presented.  
  4. Enter the current password, the new password (twice) and then press the Save button to save it.

IMPORTANT

To prevent unauthorized access to theAdministration of your DSM16, you should change the default password during the initial configuration of the system when this same screen is presented.
