Each installation of the Infinity 3065 requires a unique Device ID. This unique Device ID aids in avoiding potential network related conflicts when connecting to UCX software.
Additional applications or SMS subscriptions can also be assigned here to each device ID.
Step 1 – Infinity 3065 Provisioning
- Log in to the E-MetroTel Partner Portal using your portal credentials
- Select Provisioning
- Select Infinity 3065
Step 2 – Add User(s)
The Add User page needs to be completed for each type of device each user on the system will be installing:
This page has multiple sections.
User Details
- User Email – Enter the email address for the user.
- First Name and Last Name – Optionally enter the user’s First and Last name.
- UCX Extension – Optionally enter the user’s extension number.
NOTE: Extension number is required for SMS Subscription. - Notification Method – Currently restricted to Email. The user will be notified of their Device ID via email.
System Details
- UCX Serial Number – Enter the serial number of the UCX and the Server fields in this section will be filled in automatically.
- Allow Multiple Profiles – Keep this value at default No, if you wish to restrict users to a single profile or a specific UCX system. Otherwise set the value to Yes (this will typically only used for resellers who manage multiple systems).
Note that a separate Device ID is NOT required for each system! - Allow Changes to Default Profile – Keep this value at default No if you wish to minimize the risk of users mis-configuring the softphone.
Applications
If the UCX has any associated applications or subscriptions, it will show up under the Applications section.
InfinityOne
- In the image above, the InfinityOne application can be selected for this user, and the emetrotel.net subdomain URL will be pre-configured to send to the 3065 on activation.
- Select the InfinityOne checkbox to enable it.
SMS Subscriptions
- SMS services must be configured against a specific extension. Once a user’s extension has been configured in the User Details section and the System Details has been completed, then the SMS Subscriptions selection is enabled for configuration.

- Each extension can be assigned up to two SMS accounts by selecting from a dropdown list of E-MetroTel SIP Trunk DIDs.
- Note that you will also require the correct settings in the SMS Connector for any DID you wish to assign. These settings are configured in the Partner Portal.
Once you have completed all the sections you may:
- Click Save and Exit if this is the only entry you wish to make,
- Click Save and Add Next if you wish to continue creating additional Device IDs. In this case, the SystemDetails section will remain unchanged by default until manually changed by entering a different UCX serial number.
Step 3 – Enter Device ID
Once the above 2 steps have been completed, each user will have received an email identifying the Device ID which they will need to enter after they download and install the softphone application.
