In order to connect phones on your DSM16 to a specific UCX Server, you must enter the IP address of the UCX Server and the port number used by that server for digital phones in the configuration of the DSM16.

To specify the UCX Server to which the DSM16 should connect to, perform the following steps:

1. Open the DSM16 Administration
2. From the Gateway tab, select Call Server
3. In the Primary Server IP Address field, enter the IP address of the UCX Server.
4. If the UCX Server does not use the default port number (7000) for digital phones, enter the port number in the Primary Server Port field.
5. Press the Save Changes button to update the configuration of the DSM16.

Note: The DSM16 system does not initiate any communication with the UCX Server until a valid license is activated. (See DSM16 – System – Licenses)

Alternate Server IP Address and Port

This functionality is currently not available on the DSM16 Module or the DSM16p.
