Infinity 3065 – Installation Guide for Android
IMPORTANT

The Infinity 3065 softphone is a standalone application designed to run on Android (13.0 or higher) , iOS (13.0 or higher), Windows (10 and 11), iOS (13.0 or higher) and Mac OSX (10.15 or higher) platforms. The app will be downloadable from the Google Play Store, Microsoft Store (Windows) and Apple App Store (OSX and iOS).

NOTE

The Infinity 3065 and the InfinityOne Softphone both rely on IP-based communication over Ethernet (Windows and MacOS only), or an 802.11 or cellphone wireless network. However, the reliability and voice quality of the call is totally dependent on the network it is connected to. Therefore, it is expected that the device running the application is connected to a relatively strong wireless signal with adequate bandwidth, low latency, and low packet loss as described here when connecting the UCX and to the E-MetroTel provisioning server using the port information provided in the E-MetroTel documentation.

USEFUL TIP

The Administrator must first Create the Unique Device ID for each user before the user can proceed with the installation steps on this page. It is desirable that each Device ID be preconfigured as the MAC Address of that user's extension on the UCX XSTIM Properties settings on the UCX before the user completes the setup on their device.

Android Compatibility

The Infinity 3065 Android app is built to operate across a wide range of Android smartphones and tablets. However, due to variations in hardware components, manufacturer-specific Android customizations, and differing update policies, some app features may not perform consistently on all devices.

Performance and compatibility may be affected by factors such as:

  • Device make and model
  • Android OS version
  • Manufacturer UI overlays or security settings
  • Custom firmware or restricted network environments
  • Irregular or outdated maintenance/update cycles

Internally Verified Devices

In general, any Android smartphone or tablet running version 13, 14, 15 and 16 are supported.

The following devices have been internally tested and verified by E‑MetroTel for compatibility with the Infinity 3065 Android app:

  • Samsung Galaxy A32 (Android 13)
  • Samsung Galaxy A54 (Android 14, 16)
  • Samsung Galaxy Xcover5 (Android 14)
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 (Android 13)

  • Google Pixel 7a (Android 15, 16)
  • Infinix Note 30 (Android 14)

Note: While the app is expected to install and operate on other Android devices, performance cannot be guaranteed on models that have not been officially tested.
