Overview
Enhance your calling experience by receiving and initiating calls through your UCX phone system from within Microsoft Teams. With the E-MetroTel InfinityOne integrated into MS Teams, you can dial or click-to-call your contacts from within Teams and the call is placed from the integrated InfinityOne softphone, the Infinity 3065 softphone, or an existing desktop telephone, enabling you to continue to use the full power of the XSTIM Enabled UCX telephony features.
The UCX system can include on-premise appliances, UCX Cloud, or Virtualized UCX deployments.

- This will trigger the softphone or physical phone associated with the user’s authorized E-MetroTel UCX extension.
Troubleshooting
If the user fails to activate the InfinityOne app at steps 6 and 7, the administrator needs to review the following:
- Confirm the API Manager Account Manager name and Manager secret on the UCX matches the values entered in the Partner Portal user configuration.
- Confirm the API Manager Account permit rule is set to 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0.
- Confirm the API Manager Account Read and Write permissions are enabled for: system, call, command, and originate. The rest should be disabled.
Limitations
For detailed instructions on the various features and functionality available with InfinityOne, refer to the User Guide.
The following are limitations of the InfinityOne app within MS Teams:
- InfinityOne window must remain open for the user’s extension to be treated as online to receive calls. The workaround is to open MS Teams InfintiyOne app in a separate window or tab, and keep it open.
- Incoming calls will generate ringtone but will not have any call notification pop-up on windows.
