DECT – Overview

DECT stands for “Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications”, is an in-building wireless solution that uses dedicated lower frequency bandwidth that is less susceptible to obstructions and interference from applications. The radio path is dedicated to voice with specific channels and does not have to compete with data traffic.

The biggest advantage DECT has over Bluetooth is the far greater range of around 100 meters (330 feet).
