Configure Trunks to use TCP for SIP Signalling

This page describes the configuration required to use TCP for SIP signalling.

Step 1 – SIP Settings

Enable TCP in SIP Settings:

  1. From UCX Administration, navigate to PBX – PBX Configuration – SIP Settings page
  2. Scroll down to the Other SIP Settings option
  3. Enter the following value: tcpenable yes
  4. Click on Submit Changes button

Step 2 – Trunk

Add “transport=tcp” to the trunk configuration:

  1. From UCX Administration, navigate to PBX – PBX Configuration – Trunks page
  2. Select the desired trunk
  3. In the PEER Details box, add transport=tcp
  4. Click on Submit Changes button
  5. Click on Apply Config bar

 

Step 3 – SIP Extension

Set transport to TCP:

  1. From UCX Administration, navigate to PBX – PBX Configuration – Extensions page
  2. Add or Update the SIP extension
  3. Scroll down to the DEVICE OPTIONS section
  4. Set Transport to TCP Only
  5. Click on Submit Changes button
  6. Repeat the above steps for all SIP extensions
  7. Click on Apply Config bar
