Infinity 2002 – Configuration

This document describes how to configure the Infinity 2002 Call Box on the UCX.

Gateway Card Configuration

The gateway card is already pointed to the call server under the Profiles menu. Use the following link if it has not been set up yet:

Analog Card – Create Extension using FXS port

Configure Hotline Number

  • Navigate to Port – FXS Port Settings – Call Setting page.
  • Hotline Number: Enter the extension number that the Call Box should be dialing to.
  • Click Save when done.

Bulk Upload

If multiple extensions are being created, it is best to utilize Batch of Extension from the UCX and Bulk Change on the Gateway card.

  • From the Gateway card, navigate to the  Port – FXS Port Settings – Basic Settings page, click Export tp get an Excel spreadsheet.
  • After making your changes, click Upload to add your file and then click Confirm to submit.

The image below shows what the file should look like and what fields are needed for the base configuration.

Enable Busy Signal Cutoff

After a call is finished and the other end disconnects, the call box will be left on and a  busy signal will be played. To end the call for the call box the Open Switching Interval value will need to be updated on the Gateway card.

  • Navigate to Advanced Configuration – Analog Settings page.
  • Set Open Switching Interval to 2500.
  • Click Save when done.

UCX Configuration

Steps to create a SIP Extension on the UCX:

    • Login to UCX Administration
    • Navigate to PBXPBX ConfigurationExtensions page
    • Add a new XSTIM Device, fill in the following fields:
      • User Extension number
      • Display Name e.g. Room 3266
      • Phone Vendor: Nortel
      • Phone Type: Analog (ATA) 
      • MAC Address: Click on the Select button and select the port associated with the Call Box 
    • Click Submit and Apply Config
