Infinity 5000 Series (SIP) – Configuring Distinctive Ringtones

Distinctive ringtones (Alert Info) are used to identify different types of incoming calls. See Distinctive ring tones (Alert Info) page for details on the modules in UCx that support this feature.

Perform these steps to configure distinctive ringtones on Infinity 5000 series phones:

Step 1 – Define Identifier Strings for Alert Info

  • Login to the Infinity phone’s web interface
  • Navigate to Setting -> Features page
  • Click on Alert Ring to expand the section
  • Enter the desired Identifier String in the Alert Ring Text field (e.g. support)
  • Select from the drop-down list the desired Alert Ring File 
  • Up to 10 different identifier strings (Alert Ring Text) are supported
  • Click on SaveSet button to save the settings.

Step 2 – Configure ALERT INFO

  • Login to UCX Administration
  • Navigate to the module that supports distinctive ringtones (see Distinctive ring tones (Alert Info) for details)
  • In the Alert Info field, enter the Identifier String configured in Step 1 (e.g. support)
  • Click on the Submit button followed by the Apply Config bar
