The ZapBarge feature is no longer supported on Release 7.0.
On Release 7.0, a similar capability is available via the Call Monitoring (ChanSpy) feature.
Feature Description
The ZapBarge feature on UCX provides the ability to listen to the conversation on a specified Dahdi channel, or prompts if one is not specified. You can hear them, but they cannot hear you. No indication is given to the other parties that their call is being listened to. Multiple people can all use ZapBarge to listen in on the same channel.
Configuration
The only configuration required to activate this feature is to enable the corresponding feature code. To access the Feature Codes page, perform the following steps:
- Open UCX Administration
- From the PBX tab, select PBX Configuration
- From the left side column, select Feature Codes
- Scroll down to the Core section, select Enabled for the ZapBarge field
Usage
Dial the ZapBarge feature code from a phone, for example 888. You will be prompted to enter the channel number followed by the # sign.
