NOTE
Some fields will be greyed out, which indicate it was a setting that was set on the phone itself. It is best to configure the phone via the Web GUI to allow for changes due to how configurations on the phone will take priority of what's set on the Web GUI.
Prerequisites
- Access to phone’s Web GUI
Step 1 – Create SIP Extension on the UCX
Create the SIP Extension on the UCX (refer to Adding a SIP Extension)
Step 2 – Access the Phone’s Web GUI
Changes will be made on the SIP menu.
- SIP Global Settings
- SIP Account
SIP Global Settings
- SIP Domain = UCX IP Address
- Enable PPM = Yes
- Proxy Policy = Manual
- SIP Proxy Server = UCX IP Address:5060;transport=udp
- e.g. 192.168.20.1:5060;transport=udp
- Register to Proxy Server = Alternate
- Number of proxy server = 1
- Click Save
SIP Account
Information needed to fill out will be according to the login created for the SIP extension on the UCX.
- Display name = Extension number
- SIP User ID = Extension number
- Once the phone has been registered, the field will get updated to include the call server’s address
- Authentication User ID = Extension number
- Authentication Password = Extension’s password from UCX GUI
- Click Login
