NOTE
Expansion module 5046 firmware cannot be updated manually. It must be updated via Auto Update.
This page describes the steps to manually update either the SIP firmware or the XSTIM firmware on the phone. They are NOT for converting SIP to XSTIM or vice versa.

Step 1 – Obtain the latest Firmware version
Obtain the specific firmware version from E-MetroTel support.

Step 2 – Disable Auto Update
IMPORTANT
This step is important, otherwise the phone will retrieve the firmware version from the firmware server path when the phone reboots in STEP THREE.
- Use Google Chrome web browser to access the phone’s web interface
- Navigate to Management -> Auto Provision page.
- Remove and clear the Firmware Server Path field.
- Remove and clear the Config Server Path field.
- Click the SaveSet button.
Step 3 – Update Firmware
- Use Google Chrome web browser to access the phone’s web interface
- Navigate to Management -> Upgrade page.
- Click the Choose File button in the ROM Firmware Upgrade field.
- Select the appropriate firmware file that was downloaded from STEP ONE for the XSTIM phone.
- Click on the Upgrade button.
- Check the upload progress on the bottom left corner of the web browser, when the upload reaches 100% the phone will begin the firmware upgrade process.
- Once the firmware update is complete, the phone will automatically reboot.
- Do not power off the phone during the update.
