E-MetroTel SIP Trunk Account
This guide is based on the following sample SIP account details:
- VOIP Username: 1234567890
- VOIP Password: Password07
- SIP Server: sip-us.emetrotel.com
- IP: 34.238.199.7
- Channels: 10 channels
- DID: 18765551212
You must obtain your own E-MetroTel SIP Trunk Configuration Details.
Requirements
- IP Office 500v2 or 500v2a version 11.0 or 11.1
- IP Office Server Edition version 11.0 or 11.1
- IP Office Subscription systems
Accessing IP Office configuration
- To access Avaya IP Office, use Avaya IP Office Manager 11.0 or 11.1 or use WebManager from a browser.
- To access Web Manager on IP Office 500v2 / 500v2A, use port 8443 with the IP Office IP Address. Example: https://192.168.42.200:8443
- To access Web Manager on IP Office Server Edition, or IP Office Subscription, use port 7070 (or the provided URL). Example: https://192.168.42.200:7070
Before you begin
• You must have valid licenses on your IP Office system.
• On Server Edition, make sure you have a non-zero value in the SIP Trunk Sessions field on the License | Remote Server tab. If you do not, you will see Monitor messages about insufficient licenses.
From IP Office Manager, click on Licenses.
From IP Office Web Manager: System Settings, select Licenses.
Create a SIP Line
In Avaya IP Office Manager navigation pane:
- Right-click Line and select New > SIP Line.
Or, from Web Manager | System Settings:
- Select Lines | Add Line
- Select SIP line and click OK
Configure the SIP LINE tab
In Avaya IP Office Manager or in Web Manager:
- Record the Line Number value that appears on the SIP Line page for use later.
- In the ITSP Domain Name field, enter sip-us.emetrotel.com
- Use the default values for the remaining fields.

Configure the TRANSPORT tab
- Leave the ITSP Proxy Address field blank.
- Change the Listen port to 5069
- Use the default values for the remaining fields.

Configure the SIP Credentials tab
- Set the User name, Authentication name, and Contact to the VOIP Username for your account.
- Enter the password and confirm
- Enable “Registration Required”

Configure the Call Details tab
- From the Call Details tab, click Add
- Set the Incoming Group to your SIP line number (e.g., 25)
- Set the Outgoing Group to the next number (e.g., 26)
- Set the Maximum sessions according to your trunk limits.
- Select the Credentials created earlier.

Again, from the Call Details tab, click Add:
- Set the Incoming Group to the same as the last number used (e.g., 26)
- Set the Outgoing Group to the next number (e.g., 27)
- Set the Maximum sessions according to your trunk limits.
- Select the Credentials created earlier.
- Set Local URI and Contacts as seen on picture.

Configure ARS 50:Main
The dial short code for a number can specify an ARS form as the destination. The final routing of the call is then controlled by the setting available within that ARS form.
- In IP Office Manager navigation pane, right-click ARS and select 50:Main*
- Enter the dialing codes for your system.
- An example is provided on the picture.
* If 50:Main is used for another line, you can create a new ARS entry.

Configure System Dial Short Code
In IP Office Manager navigation pane:
- Right-click Short Code and select New
- Enter the following information:
- Code: ?
- Feature: Dial
- Telephone Number: .
- Line Group ID: 50:Main
