Do not attach the green faceplate to the call box until all wiring has been done and can be routed through the gauge box. Once faceplate has been attached to the call box, it is difficult to take off unless prying it very hard with a flat head screwdriver, which will cause some damage to the notches of the faceplate.
1. Mounting Gauge Box to Wall
- Orientation of the gauge box should have the threaded holes for the screws be from left to right.
- Break the perforated plastic. This is considered the top of the gauge box.
- Loop the wires through the gauge box.
- Mount the gauge box to the stud of the wall.
2. Wiring of Call Box
This step describes how to install the Infinity 2002 Call Box with a pullcord station.
The specific pullcord station we will be using for this documentation is the Crest Healthcare Economy Pullcord Station (model 5600).
Wiring
There are two ports that we want to handle on the Infinity 2002 Call Box: RJ11 port and a two-port screw terminal block.
RJ11
Connect an RJ11 analog line to the RJ11 port of the call box. The other end of the analog line will be connected to an FXS port of an analog gateway e.g. FXS8, FXOS8, or FXS16.
Screw Terminal Box
Using a small flathead screw, loosen the screws. By loosening the screws, it will lower the blocks highlighted in green. These blocks, once tightened from the screws, will allow the wires to stay put.
For the left port of the terminal block, you’ll put a wire that provides power. For the right port of the terminal block, you’ll put a wire that can handle OFF/ON functions.
Crest Healthcare Pullcord Station
Regarding how it works with the Crest Pullcord. The orange wire relays power to the pull cord station, while the yellow wire functions as the OFF/ON switch.
3. Attaching Call Box to Gauge Box
- Place rubber outline on the call box where the grooved out section lines up next to the threaded hole.
- Line up call box to the gauge where the buttons are at the bottom position.
- Place the call box into the gauge box where the holes of the call box and the threaded holes of the gauge box are lined up.
- Screw in the provided screws to attach the call box to the gauge box.
- Attach faceplate to the call box.
