DECT – Firmware Update

All devices can be upgraded via the Web Configuration Interface, or via provisioning. Both HTTP and TFTP protocols are supported for the upgrade process.

For firmware upgrades to the handsets, progress can be monitored on the Extensions page under the FWU Progress column. The progress is displayed in % and as soon as the file upload is done, the column will display a message “Waiting for charger”. The user must then place the handset in the cradle to overwrite the old firmware with the new one. The handset is ready to be used as soon as it reboots.

NOTE

The handset must not be removed from the charger until the FWU Progress column on the Extensions page displays “Done” or “Off”.
On the handset, the LED will be flashing to indicate firmware update is in progress, wait for the handset to complete the update and reboot.

Firmware Update page

The settings on this page allow the system administrator to set the desired firmware for the devices (base stations and handsets) to be upgraded or downgraded to.

By default, the firmware server address should be set to “repo.uc-x.org” and the default firmware path is “infinity.fw“.

You must enter the respective Required version and Required branch values for base Stations and handsets on this page.

Then click on the Save/Start Update button.
