The Weak Secrets page allows you to view and fix a list of extensions with weak secrets. The list shows the Extension, Description, and Status.
If the secret meets password strength requirements, the status is set to OK in the Status column.
If the secret is weak (does not meet requirements), the reason for the problem is displayed in the Status column, and a Change Secret link is provided.
To view the list of extensions with weak secrets, perform the following steps:
- Open UCX Administration
- From the Security tab, select Weak Secrets
- All SIP/IAX extensions will be listed by default
- You can filter the list by extension by pressing the Show Filter button
- Enter a partial or a complete extension number and press the Show button
Changing a Weak Secret
To change a weak secret, perform the following steps:
- Select the Change Secret link in the Status column to display the Change Secret page
- Enter a new password in the New Secret and Confirm Secret fields
- Press the Save button
Downloading the Weak Secrets Report
To download the Weak Secrets report, press the Download button and select the desired file format: CSV, Spreadsheet, or PDF.
XSTIM extensions do not use passwords for authentication, so this page is not applicable to XSTIM phones.
