UCX Administration
PJSIP Settings

The PJSIP Settings page provides configuration options for SIP-based devices and applications that use the UCX PJSIP channel driver. While a separate SIP Settings page exists for other SIP configurations, this page specifically supports deployments—such as NEC IP phones—that rely on PJSIP. Additional applications using this driver may be supported in the future.

To access this page on the UCX:

  1. From the PBX tab, select PBX Configuration
  2. From the left side column, select PJSIP Settings in the Settings group

NEC IP Phone Support Settings

PJSIP-Settings-1.png

The NEC IP Phone Support Settings in PJSIP Settings page is used to enable communication between NEC IP Phones and the UCX XSTIM software. The settings in this section control whether the UCX will listen for packets from the NEC phones, as well as which ethernet interface(s) will be listening, and what port the phones will be using for communication.

NOTE

This section is used for configuring the UCX to support NEC IP phones using the default NEC SIP firmware. If you have converted NEC IP phones to use the "STD SIP" firmware then refer to the SIP Settings page for details; the settings on this page are not required.

NEC IP Phone Support

For security reasons the UCX does not listen for NEC IP phone traffic on any of it’s interfaces by default. If you want to use NEC IP phones with the UCX you must enable NEC IP Phone Support.

Bind Address

Once NEC IP Phone Support is enabled on the UCX, the UCX will begin to listen for packets from NEC phones on all its IP interfaces. Therefore, by default, this field is left blank. If you wish to limit the use of NEC phones to a specific UCX IP Address, then enter the specific UCX IP address you wish to use in the Bind Port field.

Bind Port

Once NEC IP Phone Support is enabled on the UCX, the UCX will begin to listen for packets from NEC phones on all interfaces or the IP address defined above using the NEC default port of 5080. If the NEC phones used in the original NEC PBX deployment were changed to use a different signalling port, then change this field to match that port.

SIP Trunk (chan_pjsip)

Any changes made in this section will require a restart of Telephone Service for the changes to fully take effect.
