UCX Administration
Inbound Call Control – Blacklist
NOTE

Extensions cannot be added to the blacklist.

The Blacklist feature provides screening of calls from incoming routes. Any blacklisted number will be applied to all active inbound routes.

There are two ways to add/modify/delete a blacklisted number:

  1. From UCX Administration
  2. From an extension using feature codes

A number added to the blacklist from UCX Administration can be modified or deleted from any extension, and vice versa.

Configuring Blacklist from UCX Administration

To add a number to Blacklist, perform the following steps:

  1. From the PBX tab, select PBX Configuration
  2. From the left side column, select Blacklist
  3. Enter number to blacklist in the Number field
  4. Click on Block Unknown/Blocked Caller ID if you want callers with unknown or blocked Caller ID information to be blocked (i.e. blacklisted)
  5. Press the Submit Changes button

All the blacklist entries are listed on this page.  You can use the Delete or Edit links to delete/modify the entries.

Block Unknown/Blocked Caller ID

If the Block Unknown/Blocked Caller ID field is checked, calls with the following will be included in the blacklist:

  • Unknown
  • Unavailable
  • [blank] (no value at all)
NOTE

'Anonymous' is not included in the above list, you have to manually add to the blacklist. The values are also case-sensitive, so you want to add both 'anonymous ' and 'Anonymous'.
