Language

This feature allows the user to configure the language of voice prompts used for services such as voice mail, conferencing, etc.

USEFUL TIP

This feature is available to E-MetroTel XStim and InfinityOne phones and Nortel phones only.

To configure the language

Phone Type Steps Notes
E-MetroTel (XStim or InfinintyOne) or Nortel phone with Feature key 1. Press the Feature key followed by the corresponding language feature code:
  • *501 <English>
  • *502 <French>
  • *503 <Spanish>
  • *504 <Default>
 The default language is configured by the system administrator.
E-MetroTel (XStim or InfinintyOne) or  Nortel phone with Services key 1. When idle, press the Services key and use the navigation keys to scroll down to the desired language:
  • Language – English
  • Language – French
  • Language – Spanish
  • Language – default
2. Invoke the feature.		 The default language is configured by the system administrator.
