Overview
This Presence and Click to Call feature allows other users to see your phone presence as a coloured phone icon (online, away, or busy, and an optional personal status) and call you via a simple click on the phone icon beside your username.
The same color scheme provides presence information associated with your chat status as well, shown using the coloured mention icon .
If you Hotdesk your softphone to another extension, that extension is automatically configured for Presence and Click to Call. When you un-register the Hotdesked extension, the extension will be removed from the Presence and Click to Call.
Browser Interface
- When you click on the phone icon associated with another user, InfinityOne will open a window confirming that you wish to call that user.
- If that account has more than one extension associated with it, you may select the desired extension from a drop-down list.
- You may also select the extension that you wish to dial from (if you have more than one configured in your Phone settings).
- The call will be set up automatically when you click Okay, or you may Cancel.
Mobile Interface
To call the user:
- Selecting the phone icon at the top of the screen opens the Click to Call page confirming that you wish to call that user.
- If that account has more than one extension associated with it, you may select the desired extension from a drop-down list.
- You may also select the extension that you wish to dial from (if you have more than one configured in your Phone.)
- The call will be set up automatically when you click Okay, or you may Cancel.
When the Avatar associated with the user you wish to call is selected, it will open a Direct Message channel to that user.
On the mobile interface, the Presence and Click to Call functionality is directly tied to the extension being used by the mobile client, including when an extension has been hotdesked to the mobile client. To control which extension number is being used, refer to InfinityOne - Softphone Configuration.
