To place an active call On Hold

| All XSTIM based Digital and IP phones | 1. Press or click the Hold key. 2. To retrieve the call previously put on-hold, press or click the Line key with the held call or the Resume soft key (if available). |
Note that a call be put automatically on hold if the user presses a different line appearance key to either dial an outbound call or answer an incoming call.

USEFUL TIP
This feature is available to any XSTIM supported Digital or IP Phone, including those from E-MetroTel, NEC, Panasonic, Avaya, and Nortel phones.
If an external call is placed on hold for an extended period of time, a notification tone will be played. The default frequency of the periodic reminder is 30 seconds. This value can be changed or disabled by the system administrator.
