Departments Settings
To configure Departments settings
- Admin can access this tab through clicking on the Departments tab on the right side.
Adding Departments
To add a new department.
- Click on the +New button at the top right.
- Make sure to toggle Enabled on for the department to be active.
- Fill in the blank spaces with ‘*’ next to them. (everything else can be edited later and toggles can be turned on to show the department on the registration or offline page)
- Send this department’s Livechat offline message to a channel will send any offline messages from this department to a different one the admin chooses.
- Admin can toggle request tag(s) before closing a conversation instead of only asking for a comment.
- To add agents click the box under Agents, select name of agent, click Add
Deleting Departments
To delete a department.
- Find the row of the department you wish to remove.
- Click trashbin icon underneath “Actions” column
Editing Departments
To edit a department.
- Find the row of the department you wish to edit and click the department.
- Modify the settings as desired, then click Save.
