Omnichannel – Departments

Departments Settings

To configure Departments settings

  1. Admin can access this tab through clicking on the Departments tab on the right side.

Adding Departments

To add a new department.

  1. Click on the +New button at the top right.

  2. Make sure to toggle Enabled on for the department to be active.

  3. Fill in the blank spaces with ‘*’ next to them. (everything else can be edited later and toggles can be turned on to show the department on the registration or offline page)

  4. Send this department’s Livechat offline message to a channel will send any offline messages from this department to a different one the admin chooses.

  5. Admin can toggle request tag(s) before closing a conversation instead of only asking for a comment.

  6. To add agents click the box under Agents, select name of agent, click Add

Deleting Departments

To delete a department.

  1. Find the row of the department you wish to remove.

  2. Click trashbin icon underneath “Actions” column

Editing Departments

To edit a department.

  1. Find the row of the department you wish to edit and click the department.

  2. Modify the settings as desired, then click Save.
