Overview
Your UCX Digital Gateway system must be properly licensed. The basic license for UCX Digital Gateway will support up to 80 telephone sets. The actual number of sets supported will depend on the total number of extensions the UCX is licensed for as well as the physical hardware. The UCx Digital Gateway will physically support up to 12 Nortel digital telephone sets. The UCX Digital Gateway expansion module will support up to an additional 32 Nortel digital telephone sets.
If you did not receive an installed license with your product, you must obtain a license from E-MetroTel and activate the license on the system.
License Details
To verify the installed license, perform the following steps:
- Open the UCX Digital Gateway Administration
- From the System tab, select Licenses
- From the left side column, select License Details
- If your system is not licensed (if you get an Invalid License status message), proceed to Requesting Product License.
Enter License
To use your UCX Digital Gateway system, you must obtain a license from E-MetroTel for your product and activate the license on the system.
To enter a UCX product license on your system, perform the following steps:
- Open the UCX Digital Gateway Administration
- From the System tab, select Licenses
- From the left side column, select Enter License
- Copy the entire license string provided by E-MetroTel in the License String field and press the Save button to activate the license.
You can request a new license for an existing UCX Digital Gateway system if you want to increase the licensed capacity.
