InfinityOne 6.0 – Softphone
NOTE

The Infinity 3065 and the InfinityOne Softphone both rely on IP-based communication over Ethernet (Windows and MacOS only), or an 802.11 or cellphone wireless network. However, the reliability and voice quality of the call is totally dependent on the network it is connected to. Therefore, it is expected that the device running the application is connected to a relatively strong wireless signal with adequate bandwidth, low latency, and low packet loss as described here when connecting the UCX and to the E-MetroTel provisioning server using the port information provided in the E-MetroTel documentation.

If your administrator has configured a softphone extension for you or you want to use the InfinityOne softphone hotdesked to your current extension on a desktop device, here are the steps to enable and access the InfinityOne Softphone.

Enable Softphone

Browser Interface

The Browser softphone allows you to stay connected from anywhere as long as you have a web browser open.

  1. Click on the account box (top right where your avatar is shown)
  2. Select My Account
  3. Select Phone
  4. Toggle on the Enable Softphone switch and click Save Changes.

Mobile Interface

To enable the Mobile client softphone:

  1. Select the Settings button (), and select Phone
  2. Ensure that the Enable Softphone switch is ON (green)

Access Softphone

Phone

  1. From the application tabs on the left, click on the Calls tab. The default page is Phone.
  2. If the softphone is not already registered to the UCX, you can register in 2 ways:

History

From the left navigation bar, click on History to view the call history of Missed, Incoming and Outgoing calls.

Device Settings

From the left navigation bar, click on Device Settings to configure the audio devices for the softphone.

Call Keypad

You can also make a call from any application tab by using the Call Keypad.

To access the Call Keypad, click on the add call icon addcall_icon.png located in the top right of the page.

Clicking the Back icon brings up call features that you can access.

To access the full InfinityOne softphone, click on infinityone.

To access the keypad again, click on keypad.
