Overview
Infinity Dialer for Teams allows UCX users to initiate and end outbound calls on their desk phone or Infinity softphone directly from their Microsoft Teams contact lists without leaving the Teams application.
With the Infinity Dialer, you can dial or click-to-call your contacts from within Teams and the call is placed over your office UCX telephone system. A call on your existing desktop telephone or softphone will begin automatically, enabling you to continue to use the full power of the UCX telephony features.

Prerequisites
To use the Infinity Dialer, your office communications system must be an E-MetroTel UCX platform, which can include on-premises, UCX Cloud, or Virtualized UCX deployments. This integration ensures seamless communication management directly within the Teams environment.
Requirements
- The user must have a valid extension on an E-MetroTel UCX system.
- The user’s UCX system administrator must create an API Manager account. with a name and password on their UCX
- The user’s extension must be subscribed for use with the Teams Infinity Dialer on E-MetroTel’s web portal.
Usage
- Once subscribed, the user will be provided with a “Subscription Key” and “Serial Number” to be used to authorize the InfinityOne Dialer when it is added from the MS Teams Apps store.
- Login to Microsoft Teams and navigate to the Apps store.
- Search for “E-MetroTel Infinity Dialer”.
- Click on the Add button to install the plugin.
- Then login to app using “Sign in with Microsoft” button from app screen.
- After signing in, the user must enter “Subscription Key” and “Serial Number” they received previously to activate the dialer.
- Once activated the user will see their recent contacts and the Infinity Dialer which is connected to the UCX account on the Home tab.
- The Contacts tab will show the list of uses added to Microsoft contacts list in top navigation panel.
- The user can dial the number associated with the contact using the dialer keypad or phone icon in contact list.
- This will trigger the softphone or physical phone associated with the user’s authorized E-MetroTel UCX extension.
Any phone number associated with the Teams contact will only work if it matches the Outbound Route dial pattern configured on the UCX.
Limitations
If the call is initiated from the Infinity Dialer, you have to disconnect the call from the Infinity Dialer by clicking the red hang-up button.
